We have reached the end of another great year! Do you have a flex spending account (FSA)? Unused money will usually be forfeited at the end of the calendar year if it is not used. You can use your FSA benefits on your eye examination, contact lens examination or for purchasing eyeglasses and contact lenses. Throughout this year Nostalgic Eye Care had the opportunity to share our skills and provide services in our community in various domains. In April we hosted Local Impact Day 2022 and partnered with both Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Salus University National Optometric Student Association (NOSA) at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. We reached the lives of many individuals of all age groups and denominations from the African Family Health Organization (AFAHO). Each person received an eye examination and a free pair of glasses. During the month of August we hosted our Annual Summer Flow Trunk Show where we invited our frame vendors including Lafont,Gucci, Tom Ford and Celine to come and showcase their eyewear for our community. We also invited local small businesses to set up a table at the event! In November we participated in Enon Tabernacle’s 1st Annual “Women Know Your Numbers” health screening event! We provided thorough vision screenings, brought enlightenment to individuals in the community regarding their vision and offered the opportunity to serve them as our patients in the future. Dr. Herring has also been a well-respected mentor to many students at his local alma mater, Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and has provided students the opportunity to join us at each of these events. We are so proud to be an active part of our community!
As technology is constantly improving and medicine is evolving it is important to Dr. Herring to continue to educate himself and expand the practice by implementing new services that will benefit his patients.

At Nostalgic Eye Care we believe that working together as a team is what makes us efficient in providing the best care and service to our patients. In April our team traveled to New York City and experienced Vision Expo which is an annual vision conference. We created memories, picked out new frames for the office and spent time appreciating our field of work together. The NEC Angels have worked endlessly to train with our new equipment and work together to make sure your encounter with us is truly one that brings feelings of nostalgia.
We are proud of how far we have come this year! We have exciting things planned for the year ahead!
